Measurement of a thickness pads the disk mechanism
Brake pads the disk mechanisms, having enough big size for forward wheels, maintain to 50 000 km. Despite it, it is not necessary to forget about regular visual check:

- The minimum thickness pads should make 2 mm without a bearing plate. Actually bearing plate – that is a metal piece on which the overlay is pasted – has a thickness about 5 mm.
- At performance of the fluent control it is enough to light at the removed cap a lamp through an aperture in a wheel and to estimate a thickness of an overlay.
- More exact control is spent at the removed wheel: to put a ruler to колодке and to measure, as is shown in the top illustration. Do not forget to examine a frictional overlay on an inside!
