Various systems of ignition
The ignition system is almost in all models Audi 80 component of electronic system of the engine. But that on a paper looks difficult, actually is rather simple: at models with 4 and 6-cylinder engines the ignition system copes the same block of management, as injection system. It has that advantage that reactions of both systems can be optimum co-ordinated with each other. Besides, for formation of a mix and regulation of the moment of ignition (as it was already described) the same gauges can be involved. On various models Audi 80 following systems of ignition are established:
- System of ignition Mono-Motronic for the engine capacity of 66 kw. Already at this most simple version of the engine regulation of the moment of ignition, that is the coordination of the moment of ignition with a corresponding operational situation, is made exclusively by electronics.
- The system of ignition Digifant is established on engines by capacity of 85 kw. A principle of action same, as well as at system Molo-Motronic: all in one block of management, regulation of the moment of ignition is carried out by electronics.
- Completely the electronic system of ignition (VEZ) is established on the 5-cylinder engine by capacity of 98 kw. This system of ignition though is supplied by own block of management, however ignition and injection systems are with each other in constant data exchange. Regulation of the moment of ignition is carried out by electronics.
- Systems of ignition MPI or MPFI 6-cylinder engines also are a component of electrosystem of the engine. Feature: these systems carry out ignition without the distributor. Accordingly, on everyone two located the friend opposite to the friend of the cylinder is necessary one coil of ignition which makes a spark only in the event that it is necessary for one of cylinders. For technical reasons (economy of details) each cylinder receives at each turn of the engine one more (unnecessary, but also not harming) a spark in a release step.
|
The help: as it was already mentioned, various systems of ignition have many common features. Systems of ignition of 4 and 5-cylinder engines are almost identical. For example, at these systems the high-voltage element in which the spark is created is almost identical. Serious distinctions exist only with systems of ignition of 6-cylinder engines.
