Removal of headlights

Elements of the basic headlight (on an illustration of a headlight of models with 4 and 5-cylinder engines)


1 – рассеиватель; 2 – a rubber sealant; 3 – a reflector with the lamp case; 4 – fixing скобы;	5 – the engine of regulation of an angle of slope of headlights; 6 – a cap; 7 – a decorative overlay; 8 – the headlight case.

For headlight removal it is necessary to turn out the bolts designated on an illustration by arrows.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Preparation, see in section Replacement of lamps.
To remove a strip under headlights (body Elements see the head).
Behind on a headlight to weaken a cap () to disconnect the multicontact tip and a parking light cartridge.
To stretch a plait of wires with a cover through an aperture in the block headlight case.
To turn out two fixing screws above from the body panel; two more under a headlight.
To take out a headlight forward.
Models with 4 and 5-cylinder engines: in addition to remove the case of the index of turn.

Headlight analysis

If glass of a headlight is damaged or the reflector has grown dull, it is not so necessary to replace at once all headlight. Both details it is possible to get separately, having specified the manufacturer (firms Hella or Bosch). For installation you should disassemble the removed headlight.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To open all fixing latches round headlight glass.
To remove рассеиватель and a sealing elastic band.
Cautiously to hook the chromeplated decorative overlay round a reflector and to extend it.
To rotate both adjusting screws until it will be impossible to raise a reflector a hand.
To turn out the screw with crosswise шлицем from knot of motionless fastening of a reflector.
After assemblage to adjust a headlight.
